The ministry of Covenant Mountain Mission Bible Camp began in 1942 when two women missionaries traveled to the Appalachian Mountains to see what work the Lord had for them. As the name of the camp still emphasizes, our camp continues to operate as a mission. Through the generosity of God’s people we are able to offer free day camps and low cost overnight camps for students in grades K-12.
CMMBC hosts two types of mission teams: work teams and summer camp teams. Work teams resource the maintenance and improvements to our facilities and are welcomed any time that camp is not in session. Summer camp teams provide the staff for running our summer camps. We also encourage summer camps teams to bring camper-aged young people to participate as campers.
