GOALS: Improve the Chapel to allow for year-around use and to make it a beautiful center of worship. Complete all improvements as funds are raised and using volunteers as much as possible.
Phase 1: Renovate the sanctuary and add heating and air conditioning.
- remove walls to create one open space for additional seating COMPLETE
- add central heat and air conditioning COMPLETE
- replace wall and ceiling surfaces COMPLETE
- refinish wood floor COMPLETE
- refinish pews COMPLETE
- replace window on south wall with an emergency exit COMPLETE
- improve electrical, as needed COMPLETE
Phase 2: Add handicap access and bathrooms to south side of Chapel
The bathroom addition will be constructed of block to match the Chapel’s material of construction and at the main floor level, which is 55” above ground level. The addition will include separate bathrooms for girls and boys. Each bathroom will include 2 stools (one of which will be equipped for handicap access) and an accessible hand washing sink. A handicap ramp will be built to gain access to both the addition and the Chapel. See DRAWINGS for the addition.

Phase 3: Improve the basement to use part of the space for a meeting area and part for storage.
- replace the basement windows COMPLETE
- replace the basement door COMPLETE
- install recessed lights and electric outlets
- resurface floor, walls and ceiling.
- construct wall(s) to divide the space
- improve the stairs to basement
- remove bathroom (after the new one is constructed)
