Help us tell the story

This portion of our website is the beginning of a permanent and public record of those who have served and contributed to Covenant Mountain Mission as we celebrate 75 years of ministry in 2016.

When starting research on the Mountain Mission in the Covenant Archives, it became apparent that there was little written or documented communication between the Covenant Offices. and the Mission. Some pastors did a good job of getting information into the Annual Reports. There is some personal correspondence being found and brought to the camp, as well as labeled color slides and photo albums assembled by Miss Winnie and Miss Naomi. The photos included here are a small sampling, and we will continue to search the archives as time allows.

We also need your help in documenting Covenant Mountain Mission’s history. We are looking for photos, old movie footage, oral histories and written documentation of the Evangelical Covenant Church’s ministry in the Appalachians

Please take the time to visit the photo galleries on this website. The words of those who have contributed to this history paint a wonderful story, and when you see the historical photographs, it lets you put a face to the names and better understand the land and the people that the Covenant came to serve… and continue to serve.
